Christian Scherrer serves as Senior Investment Director and Head of Health and Bio at Kinnevik, where he has built a significant healthcare portfolio that now represents over a third of the firm's asset base. He joined Kinnevik in 2014 after beginning his career at JP Morgan in technology and media investment banking, and has been instrumental in crafting and executing Kinnevik's healthcare strategy, investing nearly USD1 billion into healthcare services and technology companies in the US and Europe, with early bets on Livongo (acquired by Teladoc) and VillageMD (acquired by Walgreens Boots Alliance). He holds board positions at several portfolio companies including Enveda Biosciences, Spring Health, Cityblock Health (observer), Transcarent (observer), and Oviva, and led Kinnevik's recent investment in Strand Therapeutics' programmable mRNA pipeline. He holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Zurich and an MSc in Finance from Imperial College London.
