Christian Reitberger is a Founding Partner at Matterwave Ventures, a Munich-based industrial deep-tech venture firm that emerged in 2022 as a rebrand of btov Partners' Industrial Technologies team, which he joined in 2018. He focuses on electronics, photonics, quantum technologies, resource efficiency, industrial AI, and robotics, with checks between $300K and $11M. He holds board roles including Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Orcan Energy, and board positions at Codasip, Innatera, and Electrochaea. His portfolio includes LiveEO, equal1, Heliatek, EyeEm, Micropsi Industries, AZZURRO Semiconductors, and Nanosolar. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Vienna (sub auspiciis praesidentis) with research experience at CERN, and earlier worked at McKinsey and Apax Partners. He is based in Munich, Germany.
