Chris Ryan serves on the Management Committee of Crossbeam Venture Partners in New York in his capacity as Managing Director of Moelis Asset Management, which is a structural founding partner and LP in the fund. Crossbeam Venture Partners is a $70M (Fund II) + $25M (Fund I) joint venture between Treville Capital Group (formerly CoVenture, founded by Ali Hamed) and Moelis Asset Management, backed by Eldridge, Carta, Group 1001, and Social Leverage — with total capital including co-investments exceeding $180M. The fund's distinctive thesis combines equity investment with asset-backed credit structures to back founders building the platform economy — sellers on YouTube, Amazon, Shopify — alongside creator economy, fintech, novel asset classes, and new forms of media. The management committee includes Ali Hamed, Elizabeth Ostrander, and Chris Ryan. Chris brings 30+ years of investment banking experience, having previously been Global Head of Credit Fixed Income at UBS and Global Head of Syndicated Loans at Lehman Brothers, beginning his career at Salomon Brothers.
