Charles Haythornthwaite is a Senior Partner at Chrysalix Venture Capital, where he focuses on investments in Analytics, Web3/Blockchain, AI, Impact, ClimateTech/CleanTech, Robotics, EnergyTech, and IoT at Seed, Series A, and Series B stages with an investment range of $2.0M - $15.0M. Haythornthwaite joined Chrysalix in 2008 and has led investments in companies including GaN Systems, MineSense, Glasspoint, and Portable PBB, while currently serving on the boards of VERAI, Novamera, Luffy, and Q5D. He has a strong technology, sales, and marketing background, having previously helped found Soliant Energy, a solar energy startup, where he held the role of VP Business Development and Product Marketing. He holds a PhD in optoelectronics and materials science from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Berkeley, and is based in Oxford, United Kingdom.
