Bruce Barron is a Founding Partner at Origin Ventures, an early-stage firm that says it invests in infrastructure, software, applications, services, and marketplaces transforming productivity and automation through artificial intelligence, and that it has led Seed and Series A rounds for more than 25 years. He earned his accounting degree from the University of Illinois, became a CPA, and began his career in public accounting at Touche Ross and other firms. Barron later moved into entrepreneurship, working with startup medical technology companies first as CFO and then as CEO, helping raise capital and steer several companies to public offerings and acquisitions. He also supports the Origin Ventures Office of Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois and the Jacki & Bruce Barron Cancer Research Scholars Program.
