Brian Zhan is a Partner at Striker Venture Partners, where he leads the firm’s AI investing and backs highly technical teams at the very earliest point, often inception / pre-product / pre-revenue. His focus sits in the “deep end of the pool” across frontier AI (agents, infrastructure), robotics, and Striker’s broader mandate in AI and cybersecurity. Striker’s model is unusually concentrated, with large Day Zero checks; publicly described initial check sizes cluster around ~$6M–$8M and can go as high as $30M (and Striker also states it invests $5M–$30M on day zero). Before Striker, he was an investor at CRV (early-stage, infrastructure-heavy work) and earlier in his career he worked as an engineer (including at Facebook); he studied at Northwestern University.
