Brian Sugar is founder and managing partner at Sugar Capital, which says it invests in early-stage companies across the commerce ecosystem at the intersection of technology and commerce. With its third fund, Sugar Capital plans to invest $1.5 million to $2 million on average into 25 companies. Before starting the firm, he co-founded POPSUGAR, later served as president and director at Group Nine Media after its acquisition of POPSUGAR, and earlier founded Sugar Media while also holding ecommerce roles at Bluelight.com and J.Crew.
