BJ Hansen is a Managing Director at McCarthy Capital (M-One Capital), a private investment firm managing roughly $3.0B in private equity and growth equity strategies out of Omaha, Nebraska. He typically invests $100K to $5.0M in pre-seed through Series A companies in sectors such as retail, media and content, real estate/proptech, IoT, consumer internet, SaaS, fintech and enterprise software, with a particular focus on the US Midwest. His responsibilities include originating and evaluating new investment opportunities, structuring and executing private investments and overseeing portfolio companies, and he sits on several boards. Prior to joining McCarthy Capital in 2008 he worked in investment banking, and he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Finance and Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
