Begoña Ortiz is a Principal at Cometa, where she backs early-stage technology companies across Spanish-speaking markets, with a focus that spans themes like the future of work, fintech, e-commerce, security, and creator-driven business models. She typically invests from Pre-seed through Seed (and into Series A when it fits), with reported check sizes in the $100K to $5.0M range. Before Cometa, she built a cross-operator background across brand and strategy, including time at Unilever, work in the nonprofit ecosystem (TECHO), and leadership roles in Mexico’s business community.
