About Investor

Anjney Midha is Founder of AMP, a new venture providing AI compute resources alongside capital to early-stage frontier AI startups (launched October 2025). He retains a Venture Partner role at Andreessen Horowitz while building AMP. He was previously a General Partner at a16z (July 2023–October 2025), where he led AI investments and ran the Oxygen GPU program — managing access to a 20,000+ GPU cluster (valued at $500M+) to prioritize AI startups during the Nvidia H100 supply crunch. He served on the boards of Black Forest Labs, Luma AI, Mistral AI, Sesame AI, LMArena, OpenRouter, and Periodic Labs. Prior to a16z, he was VP of Platform Ecosystem at Discord (via the acquisition of Ubiquity6, his computer vision and multiplayer startup where he was Co-Founder and CEO). Before Discord/Ubiquity6, he was a Partner at Kleiner Perkins, where he founded the firm's first dedicated seed fund. As an angel investor, he backed Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Luma AI, Infinitus AI, Mashgin, and Ideogram. Originally from India and Singapore, he attended Stanford University (bioinformatics graduate student, dropped out) and taught a course on security at scale at Stanford CS.
