Anika Gupta is a Principal at GV (Google Ventures), based around the Boston / Cambridge ecosystem, where she concentrates on life sciences and biotech investing. Her portfolio focus is on biotech and related life-science platforms, especially at seed and Series A, and her investing profile shows a broad check-size range from about $250K up to $50M, with a typical sweet spot in the mid-tens of millions for later early-stage rounds. Within that, she leans into data-driven therapeutics, genomics platforms and other deep-science biotech opportunities. She earned a PhD in bioinformatics and genomics at Harvard University and the Broad Institute, working on single-cell genomics and statistical genetics for complex diseases, and she previously contributed as a scientist and commentator in the biotech ecosystem (including work with the Timmerman Report and other advisory roles).
