Andrew Hatcher is Partner at Contexxt Limited and Managing Director at The Applied Knowledge Network Ltd (Cambridge, UK), investing $15K-$75K at pre-seed stage across Fashion, Advertising, HR Tech, Entertainment & Sports, Education, Insurance, Health IT, E-commerce, AI, and FinTech — with particular interest in companies that have a good idea, need technology investment, but have few resources. A seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and advisor, his corporate career began at Reuters, where he played a pivotal role in developing an innovation management system within the corporate venturing division, leading to his appointment as CEO of an Asian-based Internet trading spin-out in Singapore, which he guided through VC funding and a trade sale. He created the MAPP coaching system, used by hundreds of companies for strategic planning, and is a Mentor at Cambridge Judge Business School and London Business School, and Founder of 8Cambridge. He has worked with companies including Eversheds, Statoil, and Yell, and serves as a non-executive director at Interstate (UK creative agency) and Investing for Good (UK Community Investment Company). He holds an Engineering degree from City University, London, and an MBA in International Business from the University of London.
