Andreas Ritter is the founder and Managing Director of Oropos GmbH, a Berlin-based private equity advisory and angel investing platform focused on family offices. Through Oropos he writes checks in the $4K to $1M range, mainly into seed-stage opportunities in big markets such as deeptech, crypto and Web3 infrastructure, biotech, AI, fintech, diagnostics, cybersecurity, and enterprise software. His background includes leading private equity and venture programs at institutions like Allianz Venture Partners and heading private equity for Duke University’s endowment, and he now combines that institutional experience with a hands-on advisory and co-investment model through Oropos.
