Anand Iyer is managing partner of Canonical, an early-stage venture firm in San Francisco that backs builders of open AI networks and blockchain infrastructure. Canonical’s first fund was built around pre-seed and seed investments, with checks ranging from $250,000 to $500,000. Iyer previously co-founded Trusted, which was acquired by Care.com, and earlier built developer platforms at Microsoft while later serving as a venture partner at Pear and Lightspeed.
