Alexander Schubert is Co-Founder and Partner at SciFounders, a venture fund and fellowship founded by scientists and biotech founders to help technical founders start and run their own companies. SciFounders invests $200K-$2.5M from pre-seed through Series A in material science, medical devices, biotech, and deep tech, and offers the SciFounder Fellowship — providing up to $1 million in funding and mentorship to promising science-based ventures. He concurrently serves as Chief of Staff at Conception (fertility biotech). A PhD scientist-turned-investor with deep expertise in neurodegeneration, he brings prior R&D experience at Genentech and research training at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) and the University of Cambridge (2014-2018) — positioning him as a peer to technical founders rather than a purely financial investor.
