Alexander Samwer is a Founding Partner at Picus Capital in Munich, Germany, where he deploys large early-stage funds (sweet spot around $275M) into seed and Series A ventures across sectors such as Human Capital/HRTech, TransportationTech, Insurance, Real Estate/PropTech, EnergyTech, E-commerce, Health IT, and FinTech; his most recent known personal investment was in UNCOVER. He co-founded Picus Capital in 2015 alongside Jeremias Heinrich after establishing European Founders Fund and Rocket Internet with his brothers. Based in Munich, he holds a degree from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to VC, he was instrumental in launching and scaling internet ventures through Rocket Internet and later built Arvantis Group to include Picus Capital and renewable energy holdings. His deep entrepreneurial and investment experience across technology, real estate, and energy underpins his ability to identify and support transformative startups globally.
