Alexander Carvalho is a venture investor at Distributed Ventures in New York, focusing on the firm’s insurtech and fintech portfolio, and previously an investor at Kli Capital. Through Distributed Ventures and Kli he concentrates on seed and Series A rounds in analytics, AI, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, IoT, gaming, e-commerce, enterprise software, gig economy and fintech companies, with typical check sizes in the low- to mid-single-digit millions and a historical sweet spot of around $1M at Kli. His work spans both U.S. and international markets, including Latin America and Israel. Earlier in his career he worked in financial services at Deutsche Bank before moving into venture capital.
