Alex Freed is a partner at Schematic Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm in San Francisco focused on supply chain, manufacturing, and software infrastructure. Schematic invests at pre-seed and seed, and the firm says it leads those rounds with an average check size of $1M - $2M. Before venture, Freed spent his career in technology at Google, where he launched new ecommerce products and later worked on the international expansion and growth strategy of media and advertising products. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from NYU.
