Adrian Fortino is a General Partner at Mercury Fund, leading the firm’s Midwest office in Ann Arbor and its investments in enterprise SaaS, industrial IoT and tech-enabled services. He typically writes $250K–$4M checks at seed and Series A, backing B2B software and data-driven companies in sectors including advanced manufacturing, logistics, construction tech, energy and other industrial markets across the US midcontinent. His background includes serving as Managing Director of Detroit Innovate and First Step Fund, two early-stage funds focused on enabling technologies, and he has co-founded multiple software startups such as Sidecar, ShepherdIS and FlockTAG. Earlier in his career he worked in automotive and industrial engineering roles before moving full-time into company building and venture capital.
