Adam Valkin is a Managing Director at General Catalyst, based in the Boston / Cambridge area, where he oversees the firm’s global early-stage practice and leads investments in consumer and SMB-focused technology companies. His investing centers on consumer internet, marketplaces, fintech and SaaS, typically from seed through Series B, with check sizes ranging from roughly $500K up to $50M across different rounds. He has backed companies such as Deliveroo, Monzo, Cazoo, Brainly, ClassPass, Fiverr and Spotify, among others. Before General Catalyst, he was a venture partner at Accel in London, Global Head of Digital Media at Endemol, a partner at Arts Alliance, and co-founded LOVEFiLM, which was later acquired by Amazon.
