Adam Sharkawy is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Material Impact, a firm that backs and builds inception-stage companies using material science innovation to create new products. Material Impact says it focuses on pioneering products addressing urgent human needs, and Sharkawy has written and invested across themes including medical devices, advanced materials, and climate-relevant technologies. Before co-founding the firm, he spent much of his career commercializing technologies inside startups and large Fortune 500 companies. That mix of company building and product commercialization sits at the center of his investing work today.
