Willem van der Post is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Simple Capital, where he supports technology founders building ambitious companies in Africa and beyond. Based in Stellenbosch, South Africa, he focuses on DeepTech, Mobility, AI, and SaaS businesses at the Seed and Series A stages. He brings an entrepreneurial perspective to investing and works closely with founders on long-term strategy, governance, and expansion. His investments generally range from $250K to $3M, with a preferred commitment of approximately $1.5M. As a lead investor, he actively supports companies facing the challenges of scaling products and entering new markets. He is particularly drawn to technology that can transform established industries or create entirely new categories. Through Simple Capital, he combines financial backing with practical guidance for founders building globally relevant businesses.
