About Investor

Max de Groen is a Partner (Managing Director) in the Technology vertical at Bain Capital Private Equity in Boston. His investment focus is on large-scale, tech-enabled businesses—particularly enterprise software, infrastructure and data platforms—where he leads or co-leads growth and buyout transactions; your range data (and investor databases) put his typical check size at $100K–$5.0M on the smaller co-invest side, within much larger institutional deals. He sits on the boards of companies such as Nutanix, ExtraHop and Rocket Software, reflecting a focus on enterprise and infrastructure software. Before joining Bain Capital in 2011, he was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group working across healthcare, financial services and technology. He holds a BS in finance from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
