Lainy Painter is a Partner at Craft Ventures, promoted from Principal in October 2021 after joining the firm in 2018, focusing on platforms for complex vertical markets including real estate, healthcare, education, construction, and fintech, typically at Series B, with checks between $50K and $25.0M. She is a board observer at Trusted Health and Entera. Before Craft, she was an Associate at Battery Ventures, where she worked on the firm's investments in Wag! and BounceX, and earlier spent a year in business operations and strategy at Gainsight. She began her career on Goldman Sachs' technology investment banking team, working with Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and PayPal. She was named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for Venture Capital in 2021, and is an active member of All Raise, having helped plan its inaugural summit.
