About Investor

John Ason is a professional angel investor operating through Kewpie Associates and has been investing for about 20 years. He focuses on very early-stage, often pre-revenue startups in sectors such as e-commerce, technology, advertising, digital social media and entertainment, generally at the pre-seed and seed stages. Before his angel career he spent over 25 years at AT&T Bell Labs in advanced software and technology development and in international telecom business management, and he has made around 80 investments with notable exits including Diapers.com, Xlibris, LiveLook and Centrak.
