About Investor

Joe Marconi is a Managing Director at Bain Capital Real Estate and was part of the founding team of that business, focusing on real estate investments across sectors from value-add portfolios to development projects. His investing activity spans joint-venture and direct real estate deals, typically in the $1M–$100.0M equity range, often in partnership with operating platforms. Before joining Bain Capital in 2018, he was Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the Real Estate Investment Group at Harvard Management Company, overseeing its joint-venture investment program. Earlier he served as an Investment Officer at Guggenheim Real Estate and previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Transaction Services and Real Estate Advisory on acquisitions, valuations and SEC-related work for real estate and private-equity clients. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and both BS and MS degrees in Accounting from the University of Florida, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
