About Investor

David Averett is a Managing Director at Summit Partners, where he focuses on growth equity investments. His investing centers on technology and growth products & services, with particular depth in marketing technology, sales & CRM, logistics, and related data-driven platforms at later stages; the deals he leads generally align with Summit’s growth equity ranges from roughly $5M up into the tens or hundreds of millions depending on stage. At Summit, he has worked on multiple high-growth companies in software and tech-enabled services across North America and Europe. Earlier in his career he held roles in investment banking and private equity, giving him a mix of transactional and operational exposure that informs his work with management teams.
