About Investor
Bertrand Nepveu is Co-Founding Partner (GP) at Triptyq Capital (Montreal, founded 2021), a seed-stage venture fund investing in technology companies reshaping the future of media, entertainment, XR/spatial computing, and interactive media — with a portfolio of 13 companies including ShapesXR, Squido Studio, Streamforge, BeatConnect, Anomaly, Gracia AI, and LocusX (most recent, September 2025). He is also a limited partner in Coatue, Mighty Capital (Palo Alto), TandemLaunch (Montreal), and Real Ventures. A spatial computing pioneer, he founded Vrvana — a venture-backed mixed-reality hardware company whose "Totem" headset won Tom's Hardware Best in Show at CES 2017 — which Apple acquired in 2017. His core innovations (FPGA-based real-time image processing and the "reality knob" for AR/VR blending) are now foundational to the Apple Vision Pro. After the acquisition, Bertrand and his team spent several years at Apple advancing the original product vision. He also angels into hardware and deep tech companies — portfolio includes PlayFitt, IntelliSports, and Hexoskin. He sits on the board of Quebec's quantum computing cluster and is a mentor at Creative Destruction Lab. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and an MBA from HEC Montréal.
